WILLEMSTAD - The search for the 73-year-old American tourist at Porto Mari has been halted. He went missing on Thursday after his group was snorkeling in the area. On Friday, the search was continued until the end of the day, but with no results. The same was true for Saturday.
The Coast Guard and other emergency services have decided to stop the active search. Instead, the man is now listed as missing.
This means that there will be no active search, but a message will be sent to all sailing boats to keep a sharp eye and report any observations directly to the Coast Guard team at number 913.
