WILLEMSTAD - An employee of the Tax Accountants Bureau (SBAB) has been sentenced to a suspended prison sentence and community service for passing on information.
The SBAB is part of the multidisciplinary team. In November 2021, the Inspectorate would carry out checks at various snack bars and minimarkets in Bandabou. The employee was aware of the plans and shared this information with a minimarket owner.
The judge concluded that the employee violated his duty of confidentiality. The man was sentenced to a suspended two-month prison sentence with two years' probation and community service, consisting of 120 hours of community service.
