WILLEMSTAD - This morning, the Governor of Curaçao, Her Excellency Lucille George-Wout, on behalf of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, during an official ceremony at the Governor's Palace at Fort Amsterdam, has awarded 12 Curaçaoan citizens with a Royal honor for their exceptional and longstanding services to the community. These contributions are indispensable to the Curaçaoan community and have not gone unnoticed by their fellow citizens.

The following individuals have been decorated with a Royal decoration:
Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau
Mr. N. Ajubi, Medical Director of Curaçao Dialysis Center, for services in the field of healthcare. Mr. W.M. Bernardus, for services in the field of softball. Ms. L.M. Elstak, General Director of the Fundashon Prevenshon, for services in the field of healthcare. Mr. G.A. Goilo, for services in the field of, among others, religious life, youth and elderly welfare. Mr. K.J. Jansen, for services in the field of sports and youth welfare. Mr. Jansen will receive his decoration from the Governor at a later moment. Mr. G.E.M. de Jongh, for services in the field of softball and media. Ms. S.R. de Marchena, for services in the field of genealogy. Mr. R.M.C. Schouten, for services in the field of media.
