WILLEMSTAD – The number of robberies in Curaçao has decreased by 50% since 2020, according to recent data from the Curaçao Police Force (KPC).
This week, the specialized Atrako Team is meeting to refine its current anti-robbery strategy. Authorities are considering new measures to track down perpetrators more quickly and prevent repeat offenses. The approach focuses on prevention, community collaboration, and targeted investigative efforts.
KPC emphasizes that while the decline is a positive sign of effective law enforcement, efforts will continue to further reduce crime rates. Robberies are classified as serious offenses with significant impacts on victims and society as a whole.
