WILLEMSTAD – The Public Works Department (OW) has announced that road maintenance works in the Souax West area will begin on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. The project will be carried out in two phases and is expected to last approximately six months.
The works will focus on repairing and rehabilitating roads that are currently in poor condition. The contractor responsible for executing the project is CWM.
During the execution of the works, certain roads in the area will be closed to through traffic. Residents and businesses within Souax West will continue to have normal access to their homes and establishments. For other motorists who regularly use these roads, alternative routes will be indicated by orange barriers and traffic signage.
The Public Works Department is urging all drivers to exercise caution when traveling near the work zones.
