WILLEMSTAD – The Ministry of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning (VVRP) has announced that maintenance works on Kaya Akoerio will begin on Tuesday, February 10.
According to the Public Works Department (OW), the project will involve road repairs and the installation of speed bumps aimed at improving traffic safety in the area. The works are expected to last approximately two weeks.
The contractor responsible for carrying out the project is Aliansa.
During the execution of the works, Kaya Akoerio will be closed to through traffic. Residents and businesses located within the area will continue to have normal access to their homes and establishments. For other motorists who regularly use the road, alternative routes will be clearly indicated by orange barriers and traffic signage.
The Public Works Department is urging all drivers to proceed with caution in and around the work zone.
