Local | By Correspondent October 24, 2024

WILLEMSTAD - The Public Works Department (OW) has announced that starting Wednesday, October 23, 2024, road maintenance will take place on Tanosweg and Kadoweg. The work, scheduled to last one week, will focus on repaving roads that are in poor condition. MNO-Vervat will be responsible for the execution of the project, which will begin in the morning hours.

During the maintenance, the roads will be closed to general traffic, but residents and businesses in the area will still have access to their homes and establishments. For other motorists, alternative routes will be indicated by barriers and signs.

In addition, the OW has informed that road maintenance on Kolonel C. Winkel Street began on Monday, October 21, 2024, and will last two weeks. Similar to the Tanosweg and Kadoweg projects, MNO-Vervat will manage the repaving of the damaged roadway, with work taking place during the morning hours.

Although the street will be closed during the repairs, access for residents and businesses in the area will be maintained. Motorists using these roads will be directed to alternative routes marked with signs and barriers.

The Public Works Department urges all drivers to proceed with caution while the maintenance work is underway.
