Rijkswaterstaat is going to do major maintenance work on Juliana Bridge

WILLEMSTAD - The major maintenance on the Julianabrug is being carried out in collaboration with Rijkswaterstaat, which is the Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management. This was announced by the Minister of Traffic and Transport, Zita Jesus-Leito.

The damage caused by the collision on 16 February will also be repaired. The bridge has a lot of problems with rust, and it can be clearly seen in some places. But according to the minister, the bridge is safe.

The project will take two to three years and will cost more than four million guilders. Rijkswaterstaat was also the builder in 1967.
