WILLEMSTAD - Revenue from the tax authorities for the first quarter is higher than last year. In 2022, the revenues around this time were 555 million guilders, this year it is 566 million. The increase is mainly due to the higher premium income.
Premium income last year amounted to 189.9 million guilders, compared to 203.5 million guilders this year. In addition, last year there was a start with overdue assessments of property tax, which meant that property income was much higher last year than now. Despite this, not all assessments for 2023 have yet been submitted.
Collaboration with the Land Registry should ensure that the process surrounding property tax assessments is improved and that the administrative activities also run more smoothly.
