WILLEMSTAD - The residents of Fuik in Curaçao have reached their limit: the ongoing problem of illegal dumping of bulky waste on their streets, particularly on Kaya Sabana Baka and Kaya Giter, has become intolerable. The residents are urging those responsible for this destructive practice to cease their actions.
According to the residents, a few weeks ago, a small white truck dumped construction debris on the roadside. However, the situation did not improve. Last night, around midnight, the same truck returned and unloaded even more bulky waste, as depicted in the photo.
This antisocial behavior gives the impression that someone is being paid to dispose of trash elsewhere but instead chooses to dump it on streets like Kaya Giter. This is not an isolated street, but a frequently used route for cars.
Therefore, the residents of Kaya Giter, among others, are seeking assistance in addressing this issue. It is not just a matter of illegal dumping; the condition of the street is also deteriorating, and there is a lack of proper lighting.
