Rescue Paws and Kluiver Foundation stop cooperation

WILLEMSTAD - Rescue Paws Curacao and Kluivert Dog Rescue Foundation have canceled their cooperation and each go their separate ways. The Kluivert Shelter Center that has been opened at Porto Marie will continue to exist. According to Mirjan Seppenwolde of Rescue Paws, the land is registered under that foundation and the Kluivert Dog Rescue Foundation wants to build somewhere else.

The shelter is under construction, but it has been stopped for the time being. Villapark Fontijn, opposite the center, filed a lawsuit against the construction. According to them, the building permit conflicted with the Island Development Plan. They also complained about stench and noise pollution. The judge stated that the license had been unlawfully issued and had to be examined again. The construction was discontinued.

The report about Rosanna Kluivert completely stopping her work in Curacao is being denied by herself. She says, despite her fight against breast cancer, she wants to go on with helping stray dogs on the island.
