WILLEMSTAD – After years of neglected maintenance, renovation work has officially started on the fishing docks at Piscadera. The government confirmed the news in a press release.

The renovation includes inspections and the replacement of worn-out planks. In addition, plans are underway for a repair dock and a new AVB office at the harbor. Currently, two of the three docks have been renewed.
“These docks are essential to the local fishing industry and the community, but they had fallen into a dangerous state,” said the government in its statement.
Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas (MFK) personally inspected the renovation's progress and emphasized the importance of safe and well-maintained facilities for local fishermen.
