WILLEMSTAD - On October 5th, the government of Curaçao rejected financing from the Netherlands. The government has decided to make the necessary funds available to ensure the payment of pensions to policyholders of ENNIA Caribe Leven NV (ECL) in case the internal resources are insufficient. In the coming weeks, ENNIA, the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS), and the governments of Curaçao and Sint Maarten will explore possible alternative solutions for the restructuring of the ENNIA Group.
What Does This Mean for You?
For you, there will be no changes. You can continue your current insurance policies as usual and continue to purchase new policies. This applies to both ENNIA Caribe Leven NV, ENNIA Caribe Schade NV, and ENNIA Caribe Zorg NV. ENNIA will operate normally and is ready to continue serving our customers and partners with the same excellent service we have provided for 75 years. ENNIA has always met all its financial obligations and will continue to do so.
