WILLEMSTAD - Ramiro Griffith will resign from his position at the Federashon Futbòl Kòrsou (FFK), the Curaçao Soccer federation, effective August 15th. The current chairman announced his decision through an official statement.
The election for a new chairman was initially scheduled for July 27th but was postponed on the recommendation of FIFA. Despite significant criticism and calls for his resignation from the affiliated football clubs, Griffith had previously chosen not to step down.
The postponement granted the election committee more time to conduct a thorough analysis and make an appropriate decision regarding the selection of a new chairman. As of now, FFK has not yet announced a new chairman.
