PTH Removes Illegally Parked Vehicles in Weto as Part of Ongoing Enforcement Effort

WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of VVRP’s Projectteam Toezicht en Handhaving (PTH) carried out a cleanup operation on November 20, removing illegally placed vehicles from government-owned land in the Weto area. The plot, which had been occupied without authorization, was cleared of six vehicles and two Sea-Doos.

According to VVRP, the action is part of a broader enforcement strategy targeting unauthorized use of public land across Weto. Additional plots in the area will be inspected and, where necessary, cleared in the coming weeks.

Authorities are urging the public to request proper approval before using government-owned land and to comply with all legally issued construction permits. Ensuring that residents follow established rules, PTH emphasized, is essential for public order and the safety of all citizens.

“Restoring order on Curaçao is an ongoing process, and these actions are necessary to protect our community,” the ministry stated.
