WILLEMSTAD - Fundashon Pro Monumento (ProMo) is organizing a Monumento Habrí for the first time in 5 years, an open monument day. The day takes place in the Rif area or Stegen area in Otrobanda.
The open day is extra festive this year, because Willemstad's 25th anniversary as a World Heritage City is also being celebrated. Some 32 buildings and objects will be open to the public between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. There is also an art exhibition, music and educational activities for children.
This is the twelfth edition of Monumento Habrí that ProMo has been organizing since its foundation in 1993. Every year the day is organized in a different Curaçao neighborhood.
