Project "Tuma Bo Pèrmit" reaches its conclusion

Local | By Correspondent June 20, 2023

WILLEMSTAD - The "Tuma Bo Pèrmit" project, launched by the Admission Service, has reached its conclusion. During the period from April 3rd to June 7th, 2023, the Admission Service opened up more slots for individuals to schedule appointments to obtain their residency permits. Throughout the "Tuma Bo Pèrmit" project, a total of 2,007 residency permits in the form of stamps (in passports) were granted. The Admission Service expresses its gratitude to all individuals who took advantage of this opportunity and came to obtain their residency permits.

The Admission Service announced the available dates for scheduling appointments on its Facebook and Instagram pages. Individuals who received a positive decision letter were able to schedule appointments on the announced dates. Additionally, the Admission Service contacted individuals who already had appointments to provide them with earlier dates.

Appointments

During the "Tuma bo Pèrmit" project, space was made available for more individuals to schedule appointments for all the services provided by the Admission Service. A total of 3,082 appointments were made. Despite the Admission Service contacting individuals for earlier dates, 38.6% (1,191) of the individuals did not attend their scheduled appointment. The Admission Service regrets this. It has hindered those who wanted to obtain their residency permits or make use of other services from getting an earlier date. The Admission Service hopes that in the future, when presenting more projects for the benefit of our clients, they will respond appropriately to the project.
