Significant progress has been made, with the entire old turf fully removed and the installation of the new Greenfield PT turf completed. Next week, marking lines will be laid, and a team from FIFA’s laboratory will initiate the certification process, marking a crucial step toward delivering a high-quality, professional-grade playing surface.
The certification is essential to ensure that the stadium meets international standards, fostering a competitive environment for both local athletes and international matches. The project is benefiting from the technical expertise of GCC Sport Surfaces, a team based in London, which is working closely with local specialists. Together, they are executing the renovation with meticulous attention to detail, strictly adhering to regulations to create a world-class playing field.
