THE HAGUE - Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte will give a speech at the National Archives in The Hague on Monday 19 December 2022 in connection with the government's response to the report Chains of the Past by the Advisory Board Dialogue Group Slavery Past, the Government Information Service reports.
Rutte speaks in the presence of those involved who spoke to the cabinet in the run-up to the presentation of the cabinet response, the members of the dialogue group and representatives of the countries of the Kingdom and Suriname.
Also present at the meeting are Deputy Prime Ministers Hoekstra, Kaag and Schouten, Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and Minister Dijkgraaf of Education, Culture and Science.
Following the Prime Minister's speech, a private meeting will follow in the National Archives in which the cabinet members will discuss informally with the guests.

In Suriname and on the six islands of the Caribbean part of the Kingdom, after Prime Minister Rutte's speech, the following members of the cabinet will discuss the cabinet response and its significance on location with those present:
