WILLEMSTAD - On Monday, 17 November 2025, a delegation from Fundashon Pro Bista Curaçao paid a visit to the Governor of Curaçao, His Excellency Mauritsz de Kort. Pro Bista Curaçao is widely known for its essential work supporting people who are visually impaired or blind.
During the visit, Chairwoman Ms. Jennifer Hoek and her team briefed the Governor on winning the prestigious “Appeltje van Oranje 2025,” an award presented by Queen Máxima during their recent visit to the Netherlands. The Appeltjes van Oranje recognize organizations that excel in connecting people and helping them actively participate in society. This year’s theme, “Onmisbare Schakels” (“Indispensable Links”), focused on organizations that play a vital role within their communities.
