Local | By Correspondent January 2, 2023

WILLEMSTAD - The vision of the Pisas cabinet is to make Curaçao the pearl of the Caribbean. Prime Minister Pisas emphasized this in his New Year's speech.

The Prime Minister listed the priorities for 2023. For example, the reopening of the refinery is important for creating jobs and reducing energy costs. Artificial grass will also be installed on various sports fields. The government also wants to issue 1500 building permits and finalize the Caribbean Organ for Reform and Development, or the so-called COHO.

Other priorities are the reopening of the borders with Venezuela, the construction of an LNG terminal and more air traffic from the US and Brazil.
