Prime Minister Pisas Presents Symbolic Gift to New CARICOM Chair

WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao’s Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas has presented a symbolic gift to Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness to mark the start of his six-month term as Chair of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). The CARICOM chairmanship rotates among member states and lasts for half a year.

As a gesture of unity, Prime Minister Holness received an official home jersey of Curaçao’s national football team. With this symbolic act, Prime Minister Pisas emphasized how sports — especially football — unite people and nations, particularly as various countries are set to face each other on the road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
