WILLEMSTAD – Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas attended the Prinsjesdag 2026 reception on Tuesday, September 15, where representatives used the occasion to exchange views and emphasize the importance of continued cooperation between the countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
According to the Prime Minister, the gathering provided an opportunity to discuss different perspectives and further strengthen relations within the Kingdom.
Pisas stressed that cooperation remains essential as Curaçao and the other countries confront common challenges and seek opportunities that can contribute to the progress and well-being of their communities.
At the same time, he emphasized that closer cooperation should take place with respect for the individual identity and responsibilities of each country within the Kingdom.
The reception was hosted by Gerbert Kunst, Representative of the Netherlands in Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten.
Pisas thanked Kunst for the invitation and hospitality, describing the gathering as another opportunity to maintain dialogue and strengthen relations between Curaçao and the Netherlands.
The reception took place in connection with Prinsjesdag, the annual presentation of the Dutch government's plans and budget priorities for the coming parliamentary year.
