Prime Minister bids farewell to US Consul General

WILLEMSTAD - Prime Minister Mr. Gilmar Pisas held a poignant farewell meeting with the departing United States Consul General, Mrs. Margy Bond, on June 6, 2024. 

Accompanying Mrs. Margy Bond at the meeting was Mr. Matthew Carroll, the Consul for Political and Economic Affairs at the US Mission to the Dutch Caribbean. 

The meeting marked the conclusion of Mrs. Bond's tenure as the US Consul General in Curaçao. Her successor is expected to assume the role in August 2024. 

During the farewell gathering, Prime Minister Mr. Pisas and Mrs. Bond addressed various pending issues. Mrs. Bond assured Mr. Pisas that her successor would diligently continue to work on these matters. 

Expressing his sentiments, Prime Minister Mr. Pisas conveyed his satisfaction, gratitude, and admiration for Mrs. Bond's exemplary service as the US Consul General in Curaçao. He commended her dedication and contributions to the island nation, underscoring her impactful role in fostering bilateral relations between Curaçao and the United States.
