WILLEMSTAD – The Ministry of Traffic, Transport and Urban Planning (VVRP), together with the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO), presented the Vision for the City Center 2026–2035 on Monday, March 16. The plan, recently approved by the Government of Curaçao, serves as a strategic foundation for the development of Willemstad in the coming years.

The presentation took place at Teatro Norman the Palm in Otrobanda (formerly Luna Blou) and brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives from the public and private sectors, business leaders, and other parties involved in the city center.
The “City Center Vision Framework 2026–2035” outlines the ambitions and policy direction for creating a sustainable, economically strong, and attractive urban center. During the session, further details were shared on key priorities, opportunities, and planned developments aimed at preparing the city for the future.
The ministries described the meeting as successful and expressed their intention to continue working closely with all stakeholders to build a vibrant and future-ready city center.
