WILLEMSTAD - Preparations for the transport of new wind turbines destined for Koraal Tabak started on Sunday, as announced by Aqualectra in a press release.
The preparations took place at the Santa Rosa roundabout from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Sunday. During the work, traffic could not use the roundabout and was redirected with instructional signs. The preparations involved removing telephone and electricity cables and trimming trees along the route.
The wind turbines will arrive on July 29 and will be installed over a four-week period. The transport will begin on July 29 from Brionwerf to the former Amstel site at Nieuwehaven and will continue from August 6 to Koraal Tabak.
