WILLEMSTAD - Carnival season is known for many people having their precario along the carnival route to enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere during the carnival parades. However, the precario team always has to remind all precario clients of some strict rules that must be followed. Precario refers to the limited space individuals reserve and pay for to set up their stands for observing the carnival.
It is not allowed to mark with spray paint and/or chalk or mark with any substance on public or private property and certainly not on Plantersrust property and the Habaai wall.
It is not allowed to construct anything on the Habaai wall, such as placing benches, chairs, or structures to cover the ground during the parade days. However, it is not permitted to use the Habaai wall as a support for anything left behind, such as poles, tarpaulins, coconut branches, etc.
It is not allowed to construct on and around scaffolding on the carnival parade days, which are:
Sunday, February 4 (children's parade day)
Friday, February 9 (store parade day)
Sunday, February 11 (main parade day)
Monday, February 12 (children's farewell parade day)
Tuesday, February 13 (main farewell parade day)
The construction date starts on January 27 from 12 AM, and the removal date is February 18, 2024, before 3 PM.
The precario team appeals to all clients to adhere to the specified rules for a calm Precario season. The Precario team requests all clients to take note of this information!
