WILLEMSTAD - Aqualectra has cut off power to several businesses following the discovery of illegal electricity and water tapping. The discovery was made during inspections carried out by a Multidisciplinary Team.
The team conducted inspections at four businesses, leading to significant actions against two establishments. At a location in Souax, the team completely shut down the business due to illegal electricity tapping. Additionally, a print shop on F.D. Rooseveltweg was forced to close because of similar illegal activities.
Aqualectra has made it clear that in cases of electricity or water theft, the utility company will cut off services to businesses and individuals until the outstanding debt is paid in full. Aqualectra emphasized that there will be no payment plans offered for settling these debts.
