WILLEMSTAD – As the year draws to a close and the holiday season approaches, the Permits Department of the Curaçao Police Force is reminding the public to submit applications on time for organizing tambú and aguinaldo celebrations.
The application process opens this Wednesday and runs until January 11. Requests must be filed with the Unit of Special Laws (UBW) on Winston Churchillweg.
Applications should be submitted no later than two working days before the scheduled event and can only be filed during office hours.
A list of requirements is available at the UBW and can be collected in person, requested by phone, or obtained via email.
Due to the expected high demand, UBW strongly advises residents and organizers to apply as early as possible to avoid delays.
Tambú and aguinaldo are integral parts of Curaçao’s festive traditions, and the police stress that timely permit processing will help ensure a safe and well-organized holiday season.
