WILLEMSTAD – The Curaçao Police Force (KPC) is calling on vehicle owners to collect their seized cars no later than June 30, according to an official press release. The vehicles are currently being stored at the Rio Canario impound lot.
The appeal concerns cars previously confiscated by the police, including those that were removed using a tow crane.
Before a vehicle can be released, the owner must present all required documentation, including valid insurance, inspection certificate, and proof of tax payment. If a car was removed by crane, all associated towing costs must also be paid by the owner.
Vehicles that are not roadworthy may only be removed by crane. In cases where official documents are missing, owners must be able to prove legal ownership of the vehicle.
Any cars that remain unclaimed after June 30 will be processed by the authorities, in coordination with the relevant government departments.
For a full list of vehicles involved, the public is advised to visit the official Facebook page of the Curaçao Police.
