WILLEMSTAD - The spokesperson of the police, Imro Zwerwer, has returned to his position after being placed on leave in September of last year due to WhatsApp conversations revealing that he had relationships with several female colleagues.
Rumors suggested that Zwerwer was not able to keep his hands to himself during these relationships. However, after a seven-month investigation, nothing concrete was found. An investigation was also conducted into a female officer who allegedly worked as an escort on behalf of the police, and the exact link with another police inspector remains unknown.
During the investigation period, Maurits Rosalina served as the temporary replacement for Zwerwer. Zwerwer has stated that he is ready to return to his position.
