WILLEMSTAD – As part of the ongoing KITA TUR initiative, the Curaçao Police Force (KPC) has seized 15 vehicles since Friday, the police confirmed to the Ministry of Justice.
Earlier this week, the government announced stricter regulations regarding vehicle seizures. In addition to fines, owners will face high additional costs, including storage fees (currently 35 guilders per day, soon to increase to 75 guilders), a 150-guilder charge for crane transport, and additional costs for inspections or garage visits.
The new measures aim to ensure better compliance with the law and are part of broader efforts to address vehicle-related violations on the island.
