WILLEMSTAD – Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a boy who is seen holding a heavy firearm, believed to be an M16 rifle, in images that circulated on social media over the weekend.
The photo shows the boy standing near a wall with the weapon clearly visible in his hands. The images originate from a video that was rapidly shared on Facebook. In that video, cars can be seen racing along the Blanquillaweg, while loud bangs can be heard in the background that resemble gunshots.
Police say they are seeking information to establish the identity of the boy, the owner of the weapon, and who else may have been involved in the incident. According to the authorities, swift action is crucial to prevent the firearm from being used and to avoid potential injuries or loss of life.
