WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Police Force (KPC) is searching for a 69-year-old woman from Ecuador who has been missing since September 16. Authorities released surveillance footage yesterday showing her arrival at Curaçao International Airport.

According to police, the woman arrived on the island on a Copa Airlines flight from Panama. At the time, she was wearing blue pants and a light-blue blouse and was carrying a handbag containing her own documents as well as papers belonging to another person. She is described as being 1.56 meters tall with a light complexion.

Last seen boarding a bus to Otrobanda
Airport security footage shows the woman boarding an ABC bus bound for Otrobanda shortly after her arrival. Since then, no one has seen or heard from her, and her family in Ecuador has not been able to contact her.
The video also shows the woman walking behind another female passenger in a wheelchair, who was being assisted by airport staff. The missing woman followed behind, pushing a luggage cart with two suitcases. Police have not released any further details about the woman in the wheelchair.

Possible link to body found near Mega Pier
Authorities are investigating whether there is any connection between the missing Ecuadorian woman and a female body discovered on September 23 near the Mega Pier in Willemstad.
Police have not yet confirmed any link between the two cases and continue to urge anyone with information about the woman’s whereabouts to contact the Curaçao Police Force immediately.
