WILLEMSTAD – On Monday, under the direction of the Public Prosecution Service (OM), police carried out a raid on a residence in Noord Sta. Rosa, the Curaçao Police Force (KPC) reported in a press release.
During the operation, officers found a stash of marijuana and cocaine, packaged and ready for sale, along with a sum of cash believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking.
The raid also revealed the theft of water and electricity. Utility company Aqualectra intervened on the spot to address the illegal connections.
A 47-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested during the operation. The man remains in custody, while the woman was released after questioning.
Police say the investigation into the case is ongoing.
