Police block roads and take measures to enforce order on New Year's Eve

WILLEMSTAD - The police have taken measures for the New Year's Eve to maintain public order and ensure smooth traffic flow. Roads have been blocked, and there is a ban on placing chairs on the Queen Emma Bridge, as announced by the Curaçao Police Force (KPC). 

Motorized traffic, bicycles, and pedestrians are not allowed on the Queen Juliana Bridge in both directions on Sunday night between 10:30 PM and Monday, January 1, 1:30 AM. Only vehicles providing assistance are permitted on the bridge. 

Also, the section of Arubastraat from the intersection with Hoogstraat towards the Queen Juliana Bridge will be closed to traffic on Sunday night between 10:30 PM and Monday, January 1, 1:30 AM, except for vehicles providing assistance. 

On the Abraham Mendez Chumaceiro Boulevard towards the Queen Juliana Bridge, motorized traffic is not allowed between 10:30 PM and Monday, January 1, 1:30 AM. 

The Queen Emma Bridge will remain open during the New Year's Eve but only for pedestrians. The police state that it is not allowed to place chairs, benches, or other objects on the bridge. Additionally, gatherings or parties on the bridge are prohibited. 

The KPC requests everyone to follow all instructions from the authorities.
