Police arrest four suspects of robberies on tourists in the Penstraat

WILLEMSTAD - In the past few days, the police have arrested a total of four men in connection with robberies of tourists in the Penstraat area. The robberies took place on February 26 and 28. 

 

The first arrest took place on Thursday evening around 7 pm, when the police managed to arrest two suspects involved in a robbery of some tourists on February 26 in Penstraat 

 

The arrest of the two suspects took place in a parking lot of a supermarket on Schottegatweg East. The suspects are a man named L.A.D.L.R.N., 21 years old and born in Barranquilla, and another suspect named A.D.F.V., 18 years old, also born in Colombia.  

 

The investigation continued and Friday morning two men, both of Colombian nationality, were arrested for robberies in the Penstraat area.  

 

During this robbery, all the victims' belongings were taken, while an elderly woman was injured and had to go to the CMC emergency room for further treatment.  

 

A man named A.O.P., age 28, was arrested at a house on Amazoneweg, and another 18-year-old Colombian was arrested at an apartment building on Kaminda Andrew Jones.  

 

All four suspects are in pre-trial detention.
