WILLEMSTAD - The police arrested 65-year-old Dirtley Sparen yesterday. Dirtley is active on Facebook and the local radio and is critical of politics and parliament.

He was asked to report to the police station, where he was subsequently arrested.

According to the police because of defamation, threat and incitement on Facebook. Dirtley would also have called for violence against certain people.

Earlier, in July, the government company Curaçao Refinery filed a complaint against Sparen.
