WILLEMSTAD, SANTO DOMINGO - Last Friday, the police in the Dominican Republic arrested suspect U.L.W. at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office in Curaçao as part of the large-scale Themis investigation. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Willemstad has requested extradition.

U.L.W. is suspected of being involved in the criminal organization "No Limit Soldiers" (NLS), which is responsible for multiple murders and assassinations in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and beyond, according to the authorities. The organization is also suspected of engaging in international drug trafficking for years.

Three years

The Themis investigation, which has been ongoing for three years, has already been partially presented to a judge at the Court of First Instance in Curaçao, and four suspects have been convicted. Two of these suspects have appealed. The proceedings in these cases at the Court of Appeal in Curaçao resumed last month.

Currently, four suspects are still being prosecuted in the investigation at the Court of First Instance. Meanwhile, suspect C.S.H., who had been detained in the United Kingdom for two years as part of the extradition process, was extradited last month.
