WILLEMSTAD - The political party PNP has reached an agreement regarding the redistribution of seats, as confirmed by party chairman Efrèn Candelaria. The decision includes appointing political leader Ruthmilda Larmonie-Cecilia as a member of the parliament and also as the faction leader. Current parliament member Elvin Gerard has already submitted his resignation letter to the parliament chairman and will become a staff member of the faction, along with Ms. Winklaar.
Staff member Lisette Jansen will take on a different role within the party. “With only five months remaining before the elections, the PNP is implementing strategic changes. Therefore, Winklaar will be one of the two staff members supporting the PNP faction. The PNP has a serious commitment to the people of Curaçao, based on steadfastness, honesty, and responsibility in governing Curaçao,” Candelaria stated.
This restructuring aims to strengthen the party's position ahead of the upcoming elections and reinforce its commitment to serving the community effectively.
