WILLEMSTAD – A candidate on the PNP party list has been arrested, the party announced in a press release. The individual in question is Ryan Rafaela, listed as number 14 on the electoral list.
In a brief statement, PNP stated that it is stepping aside to allow the authorities to conduct their investigation. The party also emphasized that it does not support individuals who do not abide by the law.
Rafaela is reportedly suspected of indecent acts with one or more minors. PNP party leader Ruthmilda Larmonie-Cecilia confirmed on Radio Margaritha, in an interview with presenter Francis Kenepa, that the party member is under suspicion for "aktonan immoral," or immoral actions.
