PNP asks members to keep calm in the matter with MFK

Local | By Correspondent February 17, 2023

WILLEMSTAD - PNP sent a letter to all its members on Thursday with the message that the party is on the same page both politically and administratively. This was in response to the commotion that arose after two faction members of the coalition party PNP voted in favor of a motion submitted by the opposition.

“We started the coalition with four parliamentarians and our position remains the same,” PNP said in a press release. They also write that, according to them, every parliamentarian has the freedom to express a personal opinion, whether or not with the party's vision in mind.

PNP announces that it is a party for the people. “Our parliamentarians do their job as they should, and receive support from the party, the board and the voters,” the group said.

The board of PNP asks its members to keep calm and to give the party space to resolve the issue between PNP and MFK at board level. When relevant information becomes available, the board will inform everyone in the interest of Curaçao.
