WILLEMSTAD – The public beach Playa di Lagun will remain closed for longer than originally planned, the Ministry of Health, Environment, and Nature (GMN) announced in a press release.
The reopening, which was initially scheduled for April 3, has now been pushed back to April 7 due to delays in construction work. The ministry cited unforeseen circumstances as the reason for the extended closure.
"GMN apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause to both the public and the tourism sector," the statement read.
Visitors and local businesses relying on beachgoers will need to adjust their plans accordingly until the site reopens.
