Pilot project for digital progress tests successful in schools

Local | By Correspondent September 6, 2024

WILLEMSTAD - Several schools participated in a pilot project last week for the digital administration of Progress Tests in Papiamentu and Dutch. According to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, students from Mgr. Niewindt College, St. Antonius College, St. Paulus College, and Kolegio Sta. Rosa de Lima were highly enthusiastic after taking the digital tests.

Students logged in with their personal information on their devices. Thanks to this digital approach, teachers at the participating schools were able to immediately create action plans to address any gaps or provide additional learning material.

"This allows for close monitoring of students' progress and helps prevent loss of motivation," said the Ministry.

In addition to the schools mentioned, others, such as Skol Básiko Elis Juliana and Schotborghschool, also administered the Progress Tests. The results will be used to test a new portal for teachers, which will eventually be implemented in all schools.
