WILLEMSTAD - The pharmacists have issued an ultimatum to the Minister of Public Health Dorothy Pietersz-Janga. They want to have a meeting with the minister before January 20. If not, they will go to court. The association of pharmacy owners states this in a letter.
They disagree with the new austerity measures. Over-the-counter medicines, including paracetamol, will disappear from the SVB (Social Insurance Bank) package. The pharmacies are afraid that they will miss out on income as a result. As a result, jobs are disappearing.
