WILLEMSTAD - PAR Member of Parliament Ana Maria Pauletta has raised concerns about a work visit to the Dominican Republic for which the parliament received an invitation from the housing association FKP. The association invited members of a parliamentary committee to observe a large urban development project. However, Pauletta believes that the parliament should decline the invitation. She pointed out that FKP recently organized a similar work trip to Colombia, despite not submitting any financial reports for the past 11 years.
Pauletta highlighted the constant complaints regarding the lack of maintenance on government-owned homes managed by FKP. According to her, the association should not be acting as a travel agency organizing trips for parliament but should instead focus on addressing tenant complaints and working on its financial statements.
