WILLEMSTAD – A tragic incident unfolded at Curaçao International Airport on Sunday, June 22, 2025, when a passenger suddenly collapsed and died just before boarding his flight. 

At approximately 6:20 p.m., the Central Police Department received a report of a man who had fallen seriously ill at the airport. Emergency services, including an ambulance and a doctor, were immediately dispatched to the scene. Despite swift medical intervention and first aid administered on-site, the efforts to save the man were unsuccessful. 

A police doctor who also responded to the scene officially confirmed the death of Wensley Gregorio Klepper, born in Curaçao on August 24, 1971. 

The Public Prosecutor’s Office has ordered the body to be confiscated for further investigation to determine the exact cause of death. No further details have been released at this time.
