Parliamentary questions on deportations to be answered next year

THE HAGUE - This year, the government of the Netherlands will no longer provide answers to questions from the D66 party in the Dutch Parliament about the mass deportations of Venezuelans by Curaçao.

This is according to the Minister of Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops. The Dutch minister asked the Second Chamber for a postponement. The Second Chamber normally receives an answer within three weeks, but due to the Christmas recess this will not be possible.

The D66 party wants to know why Dutch soldiers were involved in the surveillance and deportation of Venezuelans earlier this month.
