WILLEMSTAD – Live broadcasts of Curaçao Parliament meetings via commercial radio stations will end on August 14. Starting August 15, the public will only be able to follow parliamentary sessions through the official Parliament website and the Facebook page Parlamento di Kòrsou. The announcement was made by Parliament on Tuesday.
The decision means that, for now, citizens will no longer be able to listen to debates on traditional radio. According to Parliament, work is underway to establish its own radio station, which is intended to improve public access to parliamentary proceedings in the future.
In the meantime, Parliament is asking for understanding during this transition period. It emphasized that every effort is being made to restore radio broadcasts as quickly as possible. The public will be kept informed of progress.
