WILLEMSTAD - Several Members of Parliament expressed their criticism on Thursday in a meeting about the Juvenile Detention Center Curaçao (JJIC).
The meeting was requested by the faction of the coalition party MFK, which has made several visits to the JJIC. The young people often escape through the front door, the food is of poor quality and there is said to be sexual harassment. Juniël Carolina MP of the MFK faction wants to know whether the security company, of which one of the employees is guilty of sexual harassment, is still operational.
The financial situation of the facility also leaves much to be desired, there is no longer a finance expert working for some time and there is no longer an IT employee.
